Playa De Muro

The town of Playa de Muro is located on the north eastern coast of Mallorca, approximately 55 minutes’ drive from Palma Airport. Hiring a car doesn’t only make it easy to get to Playa de Muro, but it allows you to explore the interesting sights in the surrounding area.

In the Town

Playa de Muro is blessed with an incredible beach and it is the focus of the whole town. There are numerous bars and restaurants that line the promenade which add to the bustling atmosphere. Spending time on the beach here seems almost obligatory given its picturesque nature. Make the most of this relaxation time and soak up the sunshine while you’re at it.

One of Playa de Muro’s biggest pulls is that it is the perfect resort for a family holiday. There are plenty of activities that are aimed at children and lots that aim to include the whole family. For example, you can head to the Amaze’n Laberintos Fun Park, which has a range of actitivites including a brilliant maze. Alternatively, you can visit the Ca’n Picafort Go-Karting Track, which is just outside the town, for a great day trip.

Further Afield

If you want to explore more of the island, there are some engaging excursions that you can take. Just hop in your hire car and you’ll be there in no time. If you love golf, then travel to Can Picafort and indulge in a round or two. With a plethora of courses to choose from, you’ll definitely not be disappointed.

If you want to sample the sights of a different area, then head to the nearby town of Alcudia. It is stacked with historical monuments to feast your eyes on. You can wander around the remarkable city walls and take some time to soak up the atmosphere in an independent café. There is certainly plenty to explore here.

Why not take a trip to Alcudia Bay. The water here is crystal clear and rather stunning so relax on the crisp clean sand and enjoy a lazy day soaking up the sun at the beach.
