Essential Information

• Vehicles drive on the right-hand side of the road.
• Headlights must be used at both day and night at the beginning of the school year in September, and from November to March.
• Winter conditions can be severe in Lithuania, so it is important to make sure your car is prepared with the correct equipment.
• In summer some motorway speed limits are raised from 110 to 130 km/h.
• Police are autorised to impose on-the-spot fines.
• The minimum driving age is 18 yrs.
• Children must be aged at least 12 yrs to sit in the front seat.
