Skiing in Bulgaria
The main ski resorts in Bulgaria are Bansko, Borovets, and Pamporovo. Bulgaria is an ideal winter sports destination for holiday makers on a small budget because the resorts offer great value ski hire, lift passes and lessons. It is also good for families with the cost for a large group being considerably lower than elsewhere in Europe , allowing you to get more for your money. Bansko
Bansko is the most popular ski resort in Bulgaria. The resort is a favourite with many skiers and snowboarders, thanks to the new facilities and cheap prices which Bulgaria offers. From here you can admire the view of the beautiful Pirin Mountain.

Borovets
Borovets is the oldest resort in Bulgaria; it is also the biggest and most modern. It is situated on the northern slopes of the Mousala ridge in the eastern part of Rila.
Pamporovo
Pamporovo is a modern ski resort in the heart of the Rhodopi Mountain. It is 240km from Sofia and 85km from Plovdiv.
Vitosha
Vitosha is 10km from Sofia. It has huge skiing areas and offers six ski runs with various difficulty and length.
