The main ski resorts in Bulgaria are Bansko, Borovets, and Pamporovo. Bulgaria is an ideal winter sports destination for holiday makers on a small budget because the resorts offer great value ski hire, lift passes and lessons. It is also good for families with the cost for a large group being considerably lower than elsewhere in Europe, allowing you to get more for your money. Ski season tends to run from early December to early April; however this does vary slightly depending on which resort you wish to visit. The après ski is lively in Bulgaria and visitors here will be spoilt for choice.
