Is Italy a Family Holiday Haven?

When considering a family break, Italy probably wouldn’t be first in line as it is mainly associated with romantic escapes and culture filled city breaks. What you may not realise however, is that this wondrous country has to plenty to offer the family market and could well be just what you are after with the kids in tow this summer.

It’s true; there aren’t all-inclusive-bargains-galore to be found like in Spain and Cyprus, but what it can offer in terms of glorious sunshine, uncrowded beaches, some of the world’s best pizza, pasta and ice cream and exciting activities will be sure to win you over. There’s a wide range of accommodation options available that will keep kids of all ages entertained and allow mum and dad to have some time to chill out too. • Located in Sardinia, Chia Laguna Resort is ideal for families with very young children thanks to the crèche and babysitting facilities on site, allowing parents a little break. Older children are more than welcome too and they will have plenty of fun at the kids or teenagers club!
